    During these days, so different from the usual, we would like to encourage all members to share their news related to our daily life as researchers. SIBBM will host articles, contributions, studies, and research activities related to COVID-19 that can be of interest to the scientific community and lay people.

    You can send your content or posts to comunicazione@sibbm.org. Contributions may also gain a space on the FISV homepage.

    New Coronavirus: useful links

    A lecture from UC Berkeley Prof. Britt Glaunsinger about the molecular aspects of the coronavirus: from its entry into the human cell, to its replication, translation of its genome, maturation of the prioduced protein(s) and exit to infect kmore cells. A brief overview of its interaction with the immune system is also presented. A MUST for all intersted in molecular mechanisms.

    Travel Grants

    The SIBBM is awarding travel grants (max. 350 EUR per person) to Ph.D. students or postdocs who are SIBBM members with fully paid fees.

    Visiting Fellowships

    SIBBM supports short-term research visits to an Italian or foreign laboratory. The aim is to facilitate valuable collaborations with research groups applying techniques that are unavailable in the applicant's laboratory.

    SIBBM Lectures

    The SIBBM Lectures program provides financial support to SIBBM members for the invitation of high-profile foreign speakers (including Italians working abroad) to hold seminars on high-impact topics in Italian institutions. The Lecture will be held as part of a small workshop that shall include 3-4 short presentations by young researchers, related to the theme addressed by the host.
